Restoring peatlands for long-term climate benefits

Baremossen is part of the Peatland Climate Foundation's peatland restoration work in Sweden in cooperation with NABU. Restoration planning focuses on protecting peat carbon and restoring wetland habitats.

The project is designed to conserve peat carbon, reduce greenhouse gas emissions from degraded peatland and support the recovery of wetland habitats. Any future carbon removals will depend on site conditions and monitoring results.
